our zope interface

Zope has an integrated server, that server displays these current pages you are locking on. Zope’s interface is accessible with a web browser on the server like these displayed pages or through the internet. The web pages can be accessed in viewing mode like any HTML Web pages as you are actually doing it. But Zope can also, unlike conventional web pages, be accessed though the same web browser in editing mode. This mode requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6. To edit pages, the editor interface only has to be known. To switch from the viewing function to the page edition the authors have to choose the page that has to be edited by clicking on its edition link.

Adding a document

To add a document, authors need to be in Contents View mode; the link is available on the left hand side of the page. This mode shows you the list of objects in the folder and lets you edit them. If you do not see the Switch to Contents View link, you do not have permission to add or edit content in this location.

Once authors are in Contents View, they notice a drop down box in the upper right hand corner of the center panel next to the "add new item" button. This gives them the list of content types you can add in this folder. They Select Document from this list, then click add new item. Once a document has been added authors are taken immediately to the edit page for that document.

Editing a document

The document can be edited directly in the web browser, using the edit form. One thing to note is the highlighted edit tab at the top of the page. Messages appear at the top of this page, as shown below.
